Nine Vietnamese footballers have been banned from playing professional football for life in Asia in any form following a decision recently announced by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), according to the Vietnam Football Federation.
Tran Manh Dung, Nguyen Manh Dung, Pham Xuan Phu, Le Quang Hung, Chu Ngoc Anh, Le Van Duyet, Nguyen Gia Tu, Phan Anh Tuan and Nguyen Van Hung, all from the dissolved The Vissai Ninh Binh club, were found to have been involved in a match-fixing scandal.
