Hanoi (VNA) - There is no “prohibited zone” in the inspection and execution of the Party’s disciplinary measures, stressed a conference in Hanoi on July 12.

Reports showed that the number of inspections in January-June increased compared to the same period last year.

Specifically, Party inspection commissions from central to local levels conducted inspections on 855 Party organisations and over 3,500 Party members having signs of rule violations.

They imposed disciplinary measures against 87 Party organisations and over 6,000 Party members, representing year-on-year increases of 61 percent and 16 percent, respectively.

Most wrongdoings by Party members were violations of rules on deeds Party members are banned from doing, lack of responsibility and loose leadership and State management on land, natural resources, mineral, finance-banking, investment and capital construction.

In the remaining months of this year, all-level Party inspection commissions are required to implement seriously and fully the directions that Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong made at the conference to review work in 2016, along with the plans set for 2017.

Party committees, organisations and inspection commissions at all levels are ordered to work more proactively and firmly in enforcing the Party’s discipline, in order to realise the Resolution adopted at the fourth plenary meeting of the 12th Party Central Committee on strengthening the Party building work in association with fighting corruption and wastefulness.-VNA
