Hot weather will continue in northern and central provinces for some more days, with the average temperature hovering around 38 degrees Celsius, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF).
The Gulf of Tonkin will have a rough sea, with waves reaching 1.5-2.5m in height.
The Central Highlands provinces may experience heavy showers and scattered strong winds, with temperatures ranging 21-32 degree Celsius.
Southern areas can have heavy rains at nights, with temperatures remaining at 24-35 degree Celsius.
The NCHMF said earlier this month that all regions in Vietnam are likely to experience higher temperatures and less rain falls between June and August compared to the yearly average level.
The average temperatures across the country in summer months will be between 0.5-1 degree Celcius higher than normal due to the impacts of El Nino pattern while less rainfalls means water shortages will continue in central Vietnam until mid-September, the NCHMF warned.-VNA
