New Zealand’s private sector has expressed its interest in investing more in Thailand ’s logistics and food industries and has already signed a cooperation agreement with Thai entrepreneurs to expand its presence in the country.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, who is paying an official visit to Thailand from November 17-20 as guest of the Thai government. Accompanying him are some 30 leading representatives of the New Zealand private sector.
Under the agreement, the New Zealand private sector will establish business branches in Thailand to promote joint investment with Thai counterparts.
PM Key had a chance to take part in the luncheon held for Thai and New Zealand businesspersons to meet and discuss investment opportunities.
He also took his time to observe the operation of the national flag carrier, Thai Airways International.-VNA
