The Japanese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City on May 10 announced the Japanese Government’s decision to bestow the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon upon Vietnamese Professor Vo Tong Xuan.

Hoang Binh Quan, former member of the Party Central Committee and former Chairman of its Commission for External Relations, was bestowed with the “Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star” of Japan at a ceremony in Hanoi on December 15.

Former Chairwoman of the National Assembly (NA) Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan was conferred with the Order of the Rising Sun, first-class Grand Cross, of the Japanese Government at a ceremony held in Hanoi on January 24.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Japan held a ceremony on December 10 to honour Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Japan Tran Ngoc Phuc and Professor Tran Van Tho who had received the host country’s noble awards.

Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association To Huy Rua has received the Order of the Rising Sun, the first national decoration of the Japanese government for his dedicated service.
