As many as 121 Filipino fishermen remained missing in Ilocos region, northern Philippines, even as tropical storm Mujigae has exited the country, the Philippine Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council 1 said on October 4.
According to the Council’s report, a total of 121 fishermen and 23 fishing vessels were reported missing as of October 3.
In another report, the storm claimed two lives on Luzon island, central Philippines and have affected over 190,000 people.
The tropical storm intensified into a tropical storm on October 2 and exited the country on October 3.
According to Vietnam’s National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, storm Mujigae made landfall in the north of China’s Leizhou Penisula at 14:30 on October 4 with a wind speed up to 150km per hour.-VNA
