More than 9,000 runners took part in the fourth Vietcombank Mekong Delta Marathon Hau Giang 2023 in Hau Giang province on July 16.

Hau Giang (VNA)– More than 9,000 runners took part in the fourth Vietcombank Mekong Delta Marathon Hau Giang2023 in Hau Giang province on July 16.

The tournament under thetheme “Hau Giang’s impressions” brought runners interesting experiences ontheir routes. The runners also joined planting trees along the routes, whichhelps to spread a message on a green Hau Giang and responses to climate change.

The tournament alsocontributed to promoting the movement of physical training and sports ingeneral, the development of marathon in particular, raising community awareness andresponsibility on the issue of climate change; and promoting exchanges and cooperation between Hau Giang and neighbouring localities. Thanks to the tournament, Hau Giang introduced its developmentpotential to domestic and foreign investors.

A total prize pool of 200 million VND (8,500 USD) was awarded totop-ranking runners./.

Project on digital transformation in cultural sector approved

By 2030, the project targets the establishment of shared digital platforms across 100% of cultural sectors. All digitised cultural heritage will be standardised under the national data framework and shared in accordance with regulations, while 80% of public digital heritage assets are expected to receive digital identifiers to clarify ownership and management, encouraging organisations and individuals to do the same and support market development.
