Overseas Vietnamese welcome Lunar New Year

At the Feb. 5 music programme held in Espoo city of Finland , the Vietnamese community raised a total of 2,200 EUR to support poor children and soldiers in their homeland.

Nearly 100 members of the Vietnamese community in Finland also gathered at the meeting held by the embassy on Feb. 6.

Earlier, the Vietnamese community had chance to be briefed on the country’s socio-economic development as well as the success of the recent 11 th National Party Congress at a meeting organised on Jan. 29 at Oslo city of Norway.

A get-together was also held for overseas Vietnamese in Morocco, during which Vietnamese Ambassador Cao Xuan Than briefed the gathering on the country’s highlights in 2010 and expressed his hope that the Vietnamese community in Morocco would serve as a bridge to boost friendship and cooperation between the two countries./.
