Vietnam’s first Beach Queen will be crowned at a beauty pageant in coastal Nha Trang city in the south-central province of Khanh Hoa.
All Vietnamese girls from 18 to 26 who have graduated from high school are eligible. Other requirements include a minimum height of 1.62m and no previous surgeries. Contestants must also be single with no children.
The Queen will receive a cash prize of 150 million VND (7,000 USD) and the use of a five-star apartment in the Havana Building in Nha Trang city for two years. She will also be nominated for the Vietnam Tourism Ambassador title.
Winners will donate 20 percent of the total cash prize to the Truong Sa (Spartly Islands) Building Fund. The contest will be held biennially.-VNA
