A painting exhibition capturing the land and people of Vietnam is underway at the Beijing National Costume Museum, China, to mark the 72nd anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2).

Beijing (VNA) – A painting exhibition capturing the land and people ofVietnam is underway at the Beijing National Costume Museum, China, to mark the72nd anniversary of Vietnam’s August Revolution Day (August 19),National Day (September 2) and APEC Year 2017 hosted by the country.

Withinthe framework of the exhibition, visitors have a chance to enjoy pieces ofmusic staged by Vietnamese artists using traditional musical instruments.

Addressingthe opening ceremony on September 8, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Dang MinhKhoi hailed developments in the relationship between the two countries.

Hereiterated the invitations of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and PresidentTran Dai Quang to China’s Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping tovisit Vietnam and attend the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting slated for Novemberthis year in the central city of Da Nang.

Theambassador noted his belief that with efforts made by host Vietnam and supportof the international community, the APEC Summit 2017 will be a success,contributing to affirming APEC’s increasingly important role to trade andinvestment liberalisation and creating a new momentum for regional and globalgrowth.

Project on digital transformation in cultural sector approved

By 2030, the project targets the establishment of shared digital platforms across 100% of cultural sectors. All digitised cultural heritage will be standardised under the national data framework and shared in accordance with regulations, while 80% of public digital heritage assets are expected to receive digital identifiers to clarify ownership and management, encouraging organisations and individuals to do the same and support market development.
