Hanoi (VNA) - Head of Party Central Committee’sCommission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai visited Most Venerable ThichPho Tue, Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), at Vien Minhpagoda in Quang Lang commune in Hanoi’s Phu Xuyen district on May 21.

At the meeting taking place on the occasion of the 2562ndbirth anniversary of Lord Buddha, Mai wished the Most Venerable good health andfurther contributions to the development of the VBS and the country.

She said the Party and Government acknowledged the VBS’scontributions to national construction and will spare no effort in supportingBuddhism development for national solidarity.  

Mai expected the Most Venerable will continue to lead thesolidarity and united Buddhist community.

The Supreme Patriarch stated he will encourage Buddhistfollowers to follow the Party’s policies, as well as the Government’s laws andnational campaigns.-VNA
