PetroVietnam grants aid to Health Ministry to fight COVID-19

The Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) presented 5 billion VND (217,000 USD) to the Health Ministry in Hanoi on March 18 to support the fight against COVID-19 epidemic.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam National Oil and GasGroup (PetroVietnam) presented 5 billion VND (217,000 USD) to the HealthMinistry in Hanoi on March 18 to support the fight against COVID-19 epidemic.

At the event, the Health Ministry handed over the sum to theTransport Ministry and the people’s committees of Quang Ninh and Hung Yenprovinces.

PetroVietnam General Director Le Manh Hung said the group earmarkedthe sum from its social welfare fund for 2020 to help the community.

The Health Ministry is reviewing the list of ministries,agencies and localities in need of support, initially in the fight against theepidemic, and further attention to care for people’s health in the long term.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Vietnam stands at68 now, 16 of them have been discharged from hospital following their fullrecovery./.

Hanoi puts 28 more electric buses into operation

The new VinFast Green Bus vehicles, manufactured in 2026, have a capacity of 60 passengers. They are equipped with low floors for easier boarding, facilities for people with disabilities, air conditioning and other modern amenities to improve passengers’ comfort and travel experience.

500-day campaign brings fallen soldiers closer to home

Information provided by local residents in Son La province helped authorities find the remains of two fallen soldiers after four days of searching. At Le Thi Rieng Park in Ho Chi Minh City, 701 sets of remains and 304 sets of personal items have been recovered, while in Ca Mau province, more than 3,000 unidentified graves have been excavated and biological samples collected.
