New Delhi (VNA) – The Philippines and India on November 13 signed four memoranda of understanding (MoU) in various fields, aiming to foster relations.
The two countries inked deals on defence, agriculture and related issues, external affairs, and cooperation in micro and medim-sized enterprises, following the meeting between Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 13, in the Philippines.
This is the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to the Philippines in the last 36 years, stressed Preeti Sara, Secretary East of the Indian External Affairs Ministry.
Indian PM Modi is visiting the Philippines at the invitation of Duterte. He also attended the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and East Asia Summit.-VNA
