Philippine President Benigno S. Aquino III and visiting Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha agreed to further strengthen relations between the two countries at their meeting in Manila on August 28.
In a joint press release after the meeting, President Aquino said he and the Thai PM discussed in details cooperation on trade and investment, security, and people- to-people exchange.
He said the two countries are also committed to work towards the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Combating Illicit Trafficking in Drugs and a Memorandum of Agreement on the Exchange of Professional Teachers.
For his part, the Thai PM said the two sides will work to enhance their “Partnership for Prosperity” in various areas.-VNA
