A photo exhibition themed “Truong Sa – country’s sea and islands” is taking place on August 31 at the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s Ethnic groups in the northern province of Thai Nguyen.
Present at the ceremony are representatives from the Navy High Command, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Navy Museum in Hai Phong City, Military Zone 1, along with leaders and local residents of Thai Nguyen province.
More than 100 photos reflect daily life of the islands’ soldiers and residents, and close sentiment from mainlanders to the islanders.
The exhibition also displays photos of ancient documents affirming Vietnam ’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes.
The photo exhibition will open until February 2013.-VNA
