Photo exhibition spotlights Vietnamese heritages

As many as 100 photographs, which were selected from the Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2014, are being displayed at an exhibition in Nha Trang city, the central province of Khanh Hoa.

As many as 100 photographs, which were selected from the VietnamHeritage Photo Awards 2014, are being displayed at an exhibition in NhaTrang city, the central province of Khanh Hoa.

Opened on October30, the event is part of the chain of exhibitions in 16 provinces andcities across the country, which aims to mark the 10th anniversary ofVietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).

The works on showlively depict Vietnam’s typical natural and cultural heritages, bringingvisitors to landscapes nationwide, with different cultural identities,beautiful sceneries, and habits and customs.

After more than twomonths of launching, the contest received over 4,400 entries from 470photographers, focusing on natural heritages, tangible culturalheritages (architecture, sculpture, handicrafts) and intangible culturalheritages (music, festival, folk game and religion).

A ceremony to honour winners of the Awards is scheduled for November 23 in Ho Chi Minh City.-VNA
