The ceremony annouces a certified seal for handicraft products. Photo: VNA A ceremony was held in Hoi An city in the central province of Quang Nam on July 28 to announce a certified seal for handicraft products.
Co-organised by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Industry and Trade, and Tourism Association, the annoucing is expected to create a tourism product value chain and increase local incomes.
It is part of a project to develop sustainable and responsible tourism in the central region of Vietnam carried out in Quang Nam for 2014-2015 by the International Labour Organisation, UNESCO and the provincial People’s Committee.
According the provincial People’s Committee, the introduction of the seal will help tourists differentiate local fine art handicraft products from other provinces.-VNA
