Politburo member Le Hong Anh has asked the central province of Quang Ngai to tap its potential to successfully realise the set socio-economic development targets.
At a working session with the local authorities on July 30 as part of his tour of central provinces , Anh, who is also permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, urged the province to speed up infrastructure building as a basis for socio-economic development.
Regarding specific orientations, the Party leader suggested the province focus on developing heavy industry as a key economic sector, adding that in agriculture, animal husbandry is most suitable for the province as well as the central region as a whole.
Taking into account the large fleet of offshore fishing boats in Quang Ngai, Anh said the province should devise its own policies to support fishermen besides those issued by the State.-VNA
