Thefigure raises the rate of local forest coverage to 53.5 percent thisyear, surpassing the target, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee Dang Huy Hau told a conference reviewing the project onDecember 24.

During the period, the 4 million EUR projectgenerated jobs to nearly 3,000 poor households in remote areas, with amajority getting to know how to plant and protect forests sustainably.

Onthe occasion, the provincial People’s Committee presented certificatesof merit to 10 individuals and 6 organisations in recognition of theircontributions to the project.-VNA
