Race on Han River to celebrate National Day

More than 250 competitors from teams from Da Nang and Quang Nam province will compete in the annual Traditional Boat Race on the Han River on September 2.

Da Nang (VNA) - More than 250 competitors from teams from Da Nang and Quang Nam province will compete in the annual Traditional Boat Race on the Han River on September 2.

The race, which celebrates the 71st National Day, will see teams racing in the men’s 7.5km and the women’s 5km events along the river between the Thuan Phuoc and Rong (Dragon) bridges.

Members of the city’s water sports club will also water-ski, jet-ski and kayak on the day.

Musical performances and entertainment will be staged on the Han River bank and East Sea Park on National Day.

Last year, the Hoa Hiep Bac and Hai Chau teams won the men’s and women’s titles, respectively.-VNA
