Radiation in tap-water and agricultural products in Japan dropped to the safe level, said the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW).
According to MHLAW, the latest tests show that radiation in tap-water samples taken from all cities and provinces across the country has reduced to the safe level for the newborn.
Cesium and iodine radioactive substances were found in 33 out of 49 vegetables and fruits in Fukushima prefecture, where the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant No. 1 is located, but the levels are below the permitted limit.
Samples of seawater taken 20-30 kilometres off the coast around the power plant had lower levels of iodine and cesium than their limits, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology said.
The amount of radiation in air in Ibaraki prefecture and Tokyo continued to drop on April 2, while Kanagawa prefecture saw it return to the normal level./.
