Reference exchange rate adjusted down on July 17

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate on July 17 at 22,643 VND/USD, down 10 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate on July 17 at 22,643 VND/USD, down 10 VND from the previous day.

 With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,322 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,964 VND/USD.

The rates listed at commercial banks saw mixed slight changes.

Vietcombank kept both rates unchanged from July 16, at 23,010 VND/USD (buying) and 23,080 VND/USD (selling).  

BIDV raised both rates by 5 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,015 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,085 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, the rates at Vietinbank dropped by 4 VND to 23,015 VND/USD (buying) and 23,085 VND/USD (selling).

The reference exchange rate was on a rising trend for most of last week but then went down on Friday and up again on the first day of this week (July 16).-VNA
