Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,700 VND/USD on June 12, down 17 VND from the last working day of previous week (June 9).
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 24,8885 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,515 VND/USD.
At commercial banks, the opening-hour buying rates dropped but the selling rate went up.
At 8:15am, BIDV listed the buying rats at 23,330 VND/USD, down 10 VND from the end of June 9, and the selling rate at 23,650 VND/USD, up 10 VND.
Meanwhile, Vietcombank kept both rates unchanged at 23,280 VND/USD (buying) and 23,650 VND/USD (selling).
During the week from June 5-9, the daily reference exchange rate was adjusted down on Monday and Wednesday, and up on the other days. It ended the week up 24 VND./.
