With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied by commercial banks for the day is 23,745 VND/USD and the floor rate is 22,363 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks stayed stable.
At 8:15 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,245 VND per USD and the selling rate at 23,365 VND/USD, down 5 VND from the same time of May 16.
At Techcombank, the buying rate was reduced by 5 VND to 23,225 VND/USD while the selling rate stayed unchanged at 23,370 VND/USD.
The BIDV kept its buying and selling rates unchanged at 23,250 VND/USD and 23,370 VND/USD, respectively.-VNA
