Reference exchange rate unchanged on June 8

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,057 VND/USD on June 8, unchanged from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnamset the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,057 VND/USD onJune 8, unchanged from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, theceiling rate applicable to commercial banks during the day is23,748 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,365 VND/USD.

The opening-hour rates at commercial banks saw aslight rise.

At 8:45 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at23,020 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,330 VND/USD, both up 5 VND from therates at the end of June 7.

BIDV also raised both rates by 5 VND, listing thebuying rate at 23,050 VND/USD and the buying rate at 23,330 VND/USD./.

2025 coffee exports hit target, set for record 7.5 billion USD

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE), Vietnam exported an estimated 953,900 tonnes of coffee worth 5.45 billion USD in the first six months of 2025, increasing by 5.3% in volume and 67.5% in value compared to the same period in 2024.

Inflationary pressure in the second half of 2025 would remain moderate, as factors driving prices up and down are expected to balance each other out.
