Reference exchange rate up 1 VND

The State Bank raised the reference exchange rate by 1 VND from the day before to 22,033 VND per USD on October 25.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank raised the reference exchange rate by 1 VND from the day before to 22,033 VND per USD on October 25.

With the current +/- 3 percent VND/USD trading band, the ceiling exchange rate stays at 22,692 VND per USD and the floor rate is 21,371 VND per USD.

The opening hour rates listed by BIDV and Vietinbank remained unchanged from October 24, with the buying rate set at 22,280 VND per USD and selling rate at 22,350 VND.

However, Vietcombank listed its buying rate at 22,290 VND and selling rate at 22,360 VND, both up 10 VND from October 24.-VNA

State bank launches tool to facilitate green finance

Banks need to promote data analysis to minimise financial crime

The SBV has also recently issued Decision No. 67/QD-NHNN on a digital transformation project aimed at deploying core utilities for the development of the banking sector, ensuring connection with Project 06. Under the project, the SBV requires financial institutions to use the national database on population, identification and electronic authentication for banking activities, thereby supporting digital transformation and enhancing the effectiveness of crime prevention.
