Reference exchange rate up 4 VND on November 20

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,139 VND per USD on November 20, up 4 VND from the previous day (November 19).

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the daily referenceexchange rate at 23,139 VND per USD onNovember 20, up 4 VND from the previous day (November 19).

With the current trading band of  +/- 3percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,833 VND per USD and the floor rate at 22,444 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banksremained stable.

At 8:15 am, Vietcombank listed the buyingrate at 23,115 VND/USD and theselling rate at 23,265 VND/USD, bothunchanged from the same time on November 19.

BIDV also kept both rates unchanged, withthe buying rate listed at 23,140 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,260VND/USD.

Meanwhile, Techcombank cut both rates by 4 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,131 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,271 VND/USD./.

Ho Chi Minh City targets third-quarter growth of over 11%

Domestic consumption up over 13%, tourism continues strong growth

The total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenues in August were estimated at 679.8 trillion VND (26 billion USD), up 1.6% from the previous month and 14.9% year-on-year. In the January-August period, the figure reached 5.24 quadrillion VND, representing a 13.3% increase year-on-year.

Hanoi moves to maintain appeal to FDI inflows

In the first eight months of 2026, the capital city attracted more than 3.7 billion USD in FDI, equivalent to 83% of the plan set for the year.
