Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily referenceexchange rate at 23,201 VND per USD on October 16, up 9 VND from the previousday.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied tocommercial banks during the day is 23,898 VND/USD and the floor rate, 22,505VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at most commercial banks stayed stable.

At 8:20 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,060 VND/USD and theselling rate at 23,270 VND/USD, both unchanged from October 15.

BIDV also kept both rates unchanged at 23,090 VND/USD (buying) and 23,270VND/USD (selling)./.
