Reference exchange rate up at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference VND/USD exchange rate at 22,454 VND/USD on December 11, up 2 VND from the rate on the final day of last week (December 8).

Hanoi, (VNA) – The StateBank of Vietnam set the daily reference VND/USD exchange rate at 22,454 VND/USDon December 11, up 2 VND from the rate on the final day of last week (December8).

With the current trading band of+/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is23,120 VND and the floor rate 21,781 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at major commercial bankssaw little changes.

Both BIDV and Vietinbank kepttheir rates unchanged from December 8, at 22,680 VND/USD (buying) and 22,750VND (selling).

Meanwhile, Vietcombank revisedboth their rates down by 5 VND, buying the greenback at 22,675 VND and sellingat 22,745 VND/USD.-VNA
