Reference exchange rate up on September 17

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,135 VND per USD on September 17, up 5 VND from the previous day (September 16).

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,135 VND per USD on September 17, up 5 VND from the previous day (September 16).

With the current trading band of  +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,829 VND per USD and the floor rate at 22,441 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks increased.

At 8:15 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,135 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,285 VND/USD, both up 10 VND from September 16.

The rates at BIDV were adjusted up 25 VND to 23,180 VND/USD (buying) and 23,330 VND/USD (selling).

Techcombank also added 4 VND to both rates, listing the buying rate at 23,187 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,269 VND/USD./.
