The 17 th Southeast Asian Youth Table Tennis Championships kicked off in the northern province of Hai Duong on June 22.
Nearly 100 players from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam will compete in U18 and U15 categories for boys’ and girls’ single, doubles, team and mixed events.
On the first day of competition, Vietnam beat Laos 3-0 in the boys’ team event, while Thailand defeated Brunei and Singapore defeated Cambodia with the same score.
The competition will close on June 26./.
