Relic sites associated with Uncle Ho’s childhood in Hue
There are dozens of relic sites imbued with Uncle Ho and his family in Thua Thien – Hue province’s Hue city, as the city is where President Ho Chi Minh spent his childhood between 1895 – 1901 and 1906-1909.

Throughout his revolutionary life dedicated to national liberation and human liberation, President Ho Chi Minh confirmed the message of international friendship and solidarity.
President Ho Chi Minh was the founder of the Vietnam Liberation Army Team, the first major unit of the revolutionary armed forces and predecessor of the Vietnam People's Army.
On June 11, 1948, President Ho Chi Minh issued an appeal for patriotic emulation. That has strongly encouraged the people to emulate in all aspects of social life, creating great strength for the whole Party, people and army to overcome hardships and lead the Vietnamese revolution to the victory.
To celebrate President Ho Chi Minh's 130th birthday (May 19, 1890 - 2020), an art exchange programme themed "Ho Chi Minh - Journey of Desires 2020” was held in Hanoi on May 12.
On June 5, 1911, from Saigon port, Nguyen Tat Thanh set foot on a journey abroad in the ship Admiral Latouche Treville to France, beginning his journey for national salvation.
Late President Ho Chi Minh spent the early days after returning from Europe in the northern Thai province of Phichit to prepare for the establishment of a single party in Vietnam.
An exhibition entitled “The Desire for Freedom” opened at Hoa Lo Prison in Hanoi on May 14 to mark the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19).
For Vietnamese, President Ho Chi Minh has always been a shining symbol of revolutionary morality and an example of lifetime sacrifice and devotion to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, wholeheartedly serving the Fatherland and the people.
