The People’sCommittee of Ha Tinh province provided 30.3 billion VND (over 1.4million USD) to the steel maker to help its subsidiary companies resumenormal operations.
On the occasion, insurancecompanies advanced 6 billion VND in insurance payment to the company and14 billion more VND will be paid out in the next few days afternecessary procedures are completed.
Speaking atthe event, Deputy Finance Minister Tran Xuan Ha reiterated Vietnam’sresolve to ensure a safe and favourable environment for investors.
Chairman of Ha Tinh People’s Committee Vo Kim Cu also promised thatthe province will always create the best possible conditions forcompanies operating in Vung Ang Economic Zone to overcome difficultiesand resume growth.
Ha Tinh is among somelocalities where disturbances erupted on May 13-14 during workers’rallies against China’s illegal dispatch of its oil rig Haiyang Shiyou –981 in Vietnam’s continental shelf and exclusive economic zone.
Some individuals incited others todestroy the property of foreign firms, the State and private domesticbusinesses, and acted against law enforcement officials, disruptingsocial order and business activities.
Authorities have arrested and brought to trial hundreds of rioters.
Last month, affected businesses in the southern provinces of BinhDuong and Dong Nai also received advance of insurance payment worth atotal 153.65 billion VND (7.3 million USD).-VNA
