Nanning (NNT/VNA) - Thailand's Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), co-sponsor of the 13th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), has estimated a total of 149 SME business matchings made during this event will account for about 180 million THB in combined value in a year.

Sirikarn Amatayakul, senior trade officer attached to the department's Office of AEC and Asia Trade Development, said that trends for the sales of products would involve health and beauty since a large number of Chinese customers are concerned about health. However, other products such as jewelry items and clothing are also raising high demands.

She said that Thai SMEs need to control and improve the qualities of their products in order to serve the customers' needs. Obtaining DITP's Thailand Trust Mark is a way to confirm a product quality while Thailand is yet to continue to support SMEs currently exhibited in Nanning, China, she said.-VNA
