At least 19 people were killed and about 40 others injured in a road accident in Quezon province, the northern Philippines on early October 19.
According to the GMA news website, the crash happened at about 1:00 a.m. (local time) when a bus heading for the northern Philippine region of Bicol went out of control on a diversion road in Atimonan town, 173 km southeast of Manila. Amid heavy rain and on a zigzag portion of the road, the bus hit three trucks, two buses and a trailer truck.
The police is questioning drivers of the vehicles involved.-VNA
