RoK, DPRK hold nuclear talks in Beijing

The top nuclear envoy of the RoK Wi Sung-lac and his counterpart Ri Yong-ho of the DPRK on Sept. 21 met in Beijing to pave the way for restarting the six-party talks on the nuclear issue in the Korean Peninsula.
The top nuclear envoy of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Wi Sung-lac and hiscounterpart Ri Yong-ho of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea(DPRK) on Sept. 21 met in Beijing to pave the way for restarting thesix-party talks on the nuclear issue in the Korean Peninsula.

According to the Chinese Central Television, the two sides had straightforward discussion on conditions put forward by the US and the RoKto resume the six-party talks, which has been interrupted since April,2009.

The DPRK side maintained their stance onresuming the talks without preconditions, while the US and RoK saidthat the DPRK should express their sincerity in giving up nuclearweapon.

This is the second talk between the twocountries’ nuclear envoys during recent months. They also met in Bali ,Indonesia in July, without reaching any result.

The six-party talks, involving the DPRK, RoK, the US , Japan , Chinaand Russia , started in 2003. The process stalled after Pyongyang's missile trials in 2009.

China , which ischair of the talks, expressed hope that this RoK-DPRK bilateraldiscussion will bring positive results./.

Thailand’s business activity shows signs of gradual recovery

As of August 31, Thailand had more than 1 million active legal entities with total registered capital of 24.13 trillion THB.
