The Republic of Korea (RoK)’s President Lee Myung-bak has appointed four ministers in a small cabinet shakeup according to a press release of the Presidential office.
President Lee nominated law maker of the ruling party Choung Byoung –gug as minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and senior presidential aide Choi Joong –kyung as Minister of the Knowledge Economy.
Senior public prosecutor Chung Tong-ki was appointed to the posts of Director of the Board of Audit and Inspection and Chairman of the Committee of Citizen Interests of the RoK.
On this occasion, President Lee also nominated a handful of others to key posts, including advisor to the national crisis management office and advisors in charge of social, communication and press issues./.
