The Korean Cultural Centre in Hanoi is hosting an exhibition of paintings by local artist Nguyen Van Cuong from July 25- August 10.
The 36 paintings on display under the theme of “Beautiful sunny day” are made from different kinds of material such as oil painting, wood-engraving and poonah-paper. They depict the beauty of rural areas in northern Vietnam through the artist’s romantic and nostalgic vision.
Cuong has participated in many exhibitions in the United State, the United Kingdom, Japan, Norway and the Republic of Korea.
Park Nark Jong, Director of the Centre said the works remind him about his own homeland.-VNA
