For three days, the folk paintings or “minhwa” featuring various subjects from natural images to people’s daily life, have reflected the Korean labourers’ wishes of a prosperous life.

Apart from popular materials such as oil-paint, water-colours, the RoK’s artists also use traditional paper to produce their works.

Numerous artworks were done by famous Korean artists such as Park Mi Yong, Nam Hee Jung, and Lee Jong Hwa. The event was jointly held by the RoK’s Cultural Centre and the magazine ART./.
