SEA Games 32: Vietnam win 15 more golds, rising to second position in medal tally

Concluding the third competition day of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) on May 8, Vietnam won additional 15 gold medals to climb to the second position in the medal table with 30 gold, 28 silver, and 36 bronze medals.

Phnom Penh (VNA) – Concluding the third competitionday of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) on May 8,Vietnam won additional 15 gold medals to climb to the second position in themedal table with 30 gold, 28 silver, and 36 bronze medals.

It was a successful day for Vietnamese athletes in track-and-fieldand Kun Bokator (a traditional battlefield martial art of Cambodia), with twoand six gold medals, respectively.

Vietnamese athletes in other sports also bagged additional10 gold and nine silver medals.

Meanwhile, Vietnamese U22 football team also had animportant victory over Malaysia to advance to the semi-finals of men’s football.

SEA Games 32 is taking place from May 5-17 in Cambodia’scapital city of Phnom Penh and four other localities - Siem Reap, PreahSihanouk, Kampot, and Kep.

As of 21:30 on May 8, Cambodia topped the medal table with37 gold medals./.

Vietnamese sports delegation leaves for ASIAD 20 in Japan

The Vietnamese delegation comprises 496 members, including athletes, coaches, experts, officials, doctors and medical staff. The teams will depart in several groups depending on their competition schedules, with the largest group expected to leave on September 16.
