HCM City (VNA) – The second Asian Junior Taekwondo Championships 2017 kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City on June 6, attracting 277 martial artists aged 12-14 from 17 regional countries.
As many as 176 martial artists will compete in combat events in 20 weight categories while 101 others will join 9 poomsae events.
In the first day of competition, the Vietnamese team, which groups 29 competitors, won four golds, two silvers and one bronze.
Co-organised by the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation and the Asian Taekwondo Union, the tournament will last till June 7.-VNA
