Showroom preserves Thang Long citadel’s objects

The Vietnam Institute of Social Sciences on Jan. 4 handed over a showroom displaying typical objects of the Thang Long royal citadel for the Co Loa Relic and Thang Long Ancient Citadel Preservation Centre.

With 215 outstanding artefacts, the showroom is aimed at promoting cultural values of the world heritage site and meeting the demand and goal of UNESCO’s convention on heritage development.

The showroom features history, architecture and daily life from the Dai La dynasty to the Le dynasty.

Earlier, the showroom received over 110,000 visitors during the 1,000 th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi, starting from Oct. 2 to Nov. 2, 2010.

On the occasion, the Vietnam Institute of Social Sciences has allocated nearly 3 billion VND to upgrade the showroom./.
