Singaporeans have the opportunity to join a public consultation exerciseto share their views on the ASEAN Community Blueprints (2016-2025) fromJuly 6-16.
According to a statement released by the country’sMinistry of Foreign Affairs, the public consultation is being conductedby the foreign, the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry ofSocial and Family Development.
The statement also said that theASEAN Community, based on the three pillars of the ASEANPolitical-Security Community (APSC), ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) andthe ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC), will be established at theend of 2015.
As community-building is an ongoing process,ASEAN has established a high level task force to develop the ASEANCommunity Vision 2025 and three ASEAN Community Blueprints (2016-2025)to be adopted at the 27 th ASEAN Summit in the Malaysian capital ofKuala Lumpur in November 2015.
Stakeholders and interestedmembers of the public are invited to share their views on the communityblueprints through the official websites of the ministries from 8am onJuly 6 to 6pm on July 16.-VNA
