Singapore: export growth rebounds in March

Singapore’s non-oil domestic exports (NODX) rose by 18.5 percent in March from the same period last year, in contrast to the 9.7 percent decrease seen in February, according to the country’s International Export Agency (IE).

Accordingly, electronic products exportincreased 10.4 percent year-on-year; major export products included chipproducts, computers and transistors.

Meanwhile, non-electronic product exports climbed 21.6 percent against the same period in 2014.

IE’sreport also revealed that exports to Singapore’s top 10 NODX marketsincreased significantly in March, with the exception of Indonesia andJapan. The top three contributors to NODX growth in the same period werethe EU, the US and Malaysia.-VNA
