The move is expected to encourage other countries to import chicken from Thailand.

Singapore has been a high potential market for Thai chicken and otherproducts as its imported frozen chicken worth around 250 million USDper year from Thailand.

However, Thailand’sMinistry of Commerce has warned its chicken exporters that they willface fierce competition in the world market, urging them to focus onprocessed chicken products.-VNA
