Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong arrived in Kuala Lumpur on May 9 to meet his Malaysian counterpart Mahathir Mohamad.
PM Lee was the second foreign leader - after Brunei’s Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah - to meet Mahathir since he was sworn in as Malaysia's seventh prime minister on May 10, after his Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition won the May 9 general election.
In an official tweet, the Malaysian PM said the two leaders had a 30-minute talk about bilateral relations.
PM Lee also met PH presidential council member Anwar Ibrahim together with Deputy Prime Minister Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.-VNA
