Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh ordered the Ministry of Public Security (MoPS) to crack down on violations in social housing policy enforcement while chairing the third meeting of the Central Steering Committee on Housing Policy and Real Estate Market in Hanoi on November 11.

The leader noted that the Government has issued a resolution on the project to build at least one million social housing units for low-income earners, workers, and those in the science and technology sector during the 2021–2030 period, along with local housing development programmes and plans.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasised that no organisations or individuals would be allowed to exploit the Party and State's preferential social housing policies for personal gain, while chairing a teleconference on June 2 to review the progress of the National Assembly’s Resolution on piloting several special policies and mechanisms for social housing development.

The Ministry of Construction, in coordination with the Korea Land and Housing Corporation held a seminar in Hanoi on February 21 to discuss the building of general social housing policies in Vietnam for the 2021-2030 period.

Vietnam is studying effective models to develop housing for its citizens from other countries, including the housing saving bank in Germany, said Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung.
