Six Vietnamese artists of the Southeast Asian Youth Chamber Orchestra (SEAYCO) are going to delight audiences in Hanoi at a free concert on June 16, Nhandan online reported.
The musicians include violists La Diem My and Hoang Ho Khanh Van, cellist Tran Hong Nhung, flutist Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang, oboist Pham Khanh Toan and French hornist Nguyen Tuan Long.
They plan to perform works by world famous composers such as Vivaldi, Shchedrin, Beethoven and the Irish-Norwegian duo ‘Secret Garden’.
SEAYCO was founded in August 2012 and consists of 25 young musical talents from the Southeast Asian countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar and Malaysia .
The band recently performed for the first time under the baton of the German conductor Nicolás Pasquet in Thailand and Myanmar and all of its members are scheduled to debut in Hanoi in October.-VNA
