Five dancers from Spanish arts troupe Bellet Cristina Hoyos will perform in Hanoi and HCM City next week as part of activities to celebrate Spain's National Day in Vietnam.
Themed Flamenco Verses, the performance will feature verses by Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca set to dance, including excerpts from the three famed ballets Trip to the South, Gypsy Ballads and Cante Jondo's Poem.
The shows will take place on Oct. 12 at the Hanoi Opera House and Friday at the HCM City Opera House. Free tickets can be obtained from the Spanish Embassy in Hanoi, or the Office for Economic and Commercial Affairs in HCM City.
The dance troupe is among the leading Flamenco groups in Spain, which was established in 1989 by famous ballet dancer, choreographer and actress Cristine Hoyos Panadero.
Panadero herself played an important role during the inauguration and closing ceremonies of the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona./.
