Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) opened the Spring Fair 2024 in Hanoi on January 30 as the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) festival is inching in.
On display at the more than 100 booths are agricultural staples favoured as typical product for the most important annual festival in Vietnam, which will come early next month, such as bamboo shoot, wood ear, sticky rice, Shan tuyet tea, and Vu Dai village fish stew.
Meanwhile, an area of 1,000 square metres dedicated to flowers and ornamental trees has been open to the public since January 25.
According to Director of the MARD’s Trade Promotion Centre for Agriculture Nguyen Minh Tiet, all of the exhibits have clear origin, meet food safety, VietGAP or GlobalGAP standards, and receive organic cultivation certificates or OCOP product certificates.
The spring fair opens from 8:30 to 21:00 daily, and will run until February 7./.
